Established on 17 May 1930, the BIS is the world’s oldest international financial organization. It claims to open up discussion between central banks, make economic and monetary research, serve as a counterparty for central banks in their financial transactions, and as a trustee with international financial operations. It reported the average daily turn over in the foreign exchange market to be $4.0 Trillion after completing the survey in 2010. These reports come out every 3 years so it should be released soon.
