A chat pattern with support and resistance going in the direction of a trend but eventually converging.
A diagonal triangle is usually interpreted as the beginning or ending of a trend. At the beginning it is also known as a running triangle, at the end, it would be a terminal or ending triangle.
The diagonal triangle can also be seen in a downtrend if converging support and resistance lines point south.
